The Warriors are amazingly facing elimination after only four games. “Boogie” Cousins is completely ineffective this series and the Raptors are disrupting the Green/Curry pick and roll. Injuries to Thompson, Cousins, and Durant are severely hampering the Warriors, and superhuman play by Kawhi Leonard has brought Toronto on the brink of winning their first ever NBA Championship.
Despite all this, if a healthy KD returns, his defense could turn the series around. The Raptors have seemingly scored layups at will against the Durant-less Warriors . Should his calf hold up, he adds rim protection, and his 7′ stretch D to a weak Warriors defense.
So will the Raptors take it? Will the Warriors come back and three-peat? We don’t know, but the series definitely changes with his return.
