What does Olympic Gold look like?

A couple of days ago, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov won their second gold metal of the season (which in itself is unheard of). Their first gold was for the team event, and now they just one for pairs figure skating. I’ve included the program below. Now you can see what it takes to win a gold metal at the Winter Olympics. It’s truly amazing. At the 4 minute mark, Trankov throws Volosozhar in the air to do a quadruple jump, which is by far the toughest jump. To be fair, Volosozhar had help from Trankov. All the Russian skaters skated very well this season. The silver metal for pairs went to Fedor Klimov and Ksenia Stolbova. You can read all about it in this article.
