Vaccines continue to be the safest way to prevent disease, but misinformation abounds on the internet. As one expert said, once people are scared, it is tough to unscare them.
But, the fact remains, we understand the science behind vaccines, and the reality is that they are safe. For those of you skeptics out there, take a look at: American Academy of Pediatrics’ “Vaccine Safety: Examine the Evidence”. This is a nice listing of solid, independent evidence supporting the safety of vaccines.
For more information, take a look at this book in our library’s collection: The vaccine answer book : 200 essential answers to help you make the right decisions for your child by Jamie Loehr.
