Like most libraries, the MVCC library has E-Books to augment its regular print collection. Sometimes, E-Books are an opportunity to have more up-to-date coverage or to provide more choices for certain topics. There are two separate collections: E-Books from EBSCO and the Safari Collection of technical books.
Some of the EBSCO subjects are Wedding Videography; Retail Design; McGraw-Hill ASVAB; McGraw-Hill LSAT 2011; A Career as a Florist; Blueprint Reading; and a selection of the Praxis teacher test review materials. In the Safari group, one can find many titles in Information Technology (IT). There is a book on game programming and another on JAVA as well as other IT specialties.
Finally, while the Safari collection is listed under E-Books Databases, there are three other opportunities in the databases: Credo Reference, Oxford English Dictionary, and Literature for Students from Gale Virtual Reference.
The EBSCO and the Safari collections are subject searchable in the online catalog while the remaining database collections have their own search windows.
So, follow this link to get started. If you are off campus or if you must sign-in to use the E-Books, just enter your MV Connect and Blackboard user name and password. Easy, right?
