We’re going back in time to a 1960 classic horror film directed by Alfred Hitchcock (cue music). Here at the library, we have a couple of his films, but this is arguably his best and most popular film. Currently, we have two DVD copies of Psycho available in the library. For a DVD about Alfred Hitchcock and the making of Psycho, see Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection. And for those of you who are unaware, Psycho is based off a book with the same title. For more information on Robert Bloch, the author of the book Psycho, check out the book American Fantastic Tales: Terror and the Uncanny from Poe to the Pulps. The last chapter a horror fable by Robert Bloch, and includes many other delightful horror stories.
