Happy Hanukkah

We want to wish a happy Hanukkah to our students, staff, and faculty who celebrate the holiday. Tonight at sundown marks the start of this festival of lights, which is fitting given that we only have about 9 hours of sunlight this time of year.

I wanted to pass along this New York Times Op-Ed, The True Meaning of Hanukkah. In it Hilary Leila Krieger offers an interesting take on Hanukkah providing some historic context.
