Today we’re featuring a Stephen King novel turned film called Pet Sematary (1989) and yes, it’s spelled wrong on purpose.
As you may well know, Stephen King’s name is almost synonymous horror fiction. Many of his novels have been turned into films, which include (but isn’t limited to) Carrie, The Shining, The Green Mile, The Running Man, and The Shawshank Redemption many of which we have here in the library. We also have many books in the library about both Stephen King and his novels. Be sure to check them out!
I won’t give away too much about the film, but it involves a family tragedy and a scary cat. The idea of the film was actually based off his own experiences with his family and a pet cemetery.
