Today we’re featuring Walter Wanger’s film Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). As you may guess by the title, this film is about body snatchers. Something may have not known is that this film “has been hailed as one of the most intelligent films of the genre.” Invasion of the Body Snatchers was made at the height of the Cold War, which leads to speculation that the film is about Cold War paranoia. It is actually an adaptation of Jack Finney‘s novel with the same title.
