Film Blog: Dracula (1931)

Today we’re going to step back in time a little to look at a film that put Bela Lugosi on the map. As you may recall last time here at Filmblogia, we featured Plan 9 From Outer Space. This 1959 film featured an already famous Bela Lugosi as Dracula. It was really his role from both Broadway and later in Dracula (1931) that made him famous.

Looking for more information on vampires? Take a look at this old post about Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the film Nosferatu.

As always, I’m including a trailer below for your review.

As an added bonus, I’m including Sesame Street’s The Count who was modeled after Bela Lugosi’s version of Count Dracula. Here we see the Count count his feelings. “That’s two, two videos! Ah-Ah-Ah”
