This post is dedicated for those pessimists out there. As Good As It Gets isn’t what most people would consider your typical love story, but it is about a budding romance at the very least. Jack Nicholson stars as obsessive-compulsive, misanthrope Melvin Udall and Helen Hunt as his love interest Carol Connelly. After starting off on the wrong foot, Melvin and Carol eventually come to a realization that there is a connection between them. I don’t want to give away too many details away for those that haven’t seen the film, but it is definitely worth watching especially since both Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt won Academy Awards for Best Actor/Actress in a Leading Roles.
