Chicago Museums – Week 4

This would be a perfect week to visit The Chicago Campus Museum. Cool and wet weather may keep some of us inside. Why not spend the day at three of the most popular museums in Chicago? Remember – student IDs entitle you to a reduced admission rate.

Adler Planetarium @ 1300 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago

“The museum is home to three full-size theaters, extensive space science exhibitions, and one of the world’s most important antique astronomical instrument collections on display. The Adler is a recognized leader in science education, with a focus on inspiring young people, particularly women and minorities, to pursue careers in science.”

The Field Museum @ 1400 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago

“The Field Museum inspires curiosity about life on Earth while exploring how the world came to be and how we can make it a better place.  We invite visitors, students, educators and scientists from around the world on a journey of scientific discovery.”

Shedd Aquarium @ 1200 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago

“Shedd combines the best of early 20th-century “age of aquariums” characteristics—a diverse, global animal collection surrounded by eye-popping architecture—with 21st-century advances in animal care, environments and interpretation.”
