Recognizing Autism in Toddlers

The first signs of autism are often very subtle. Early diagnosis is critical, but the average age of diagnosis is 4. The earlier a child is diagnosed, the sooner interventions can begin.

The following video was created to help child service providers better recognize autism. This video, showing three pairs of toddlers, compares the social behaviors of typical toddlers with those of toddlers showing signs of having an autism spectrum disorder.
