Can’t afford Photoshop? No worries! GIMP is an alternative open-source solution. GIMP is free to download. You will not get a trial version, or partial version, but the entire program! Of GIMP’s features, it includes multiple brushes and advanced photo enhancement editing. In addition, GIMP can support all image file types including JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG. Give it a try if you have the chance!

ResearchGate.net

Researchgate.net is a social networking website for students, scientists, and professors. It is used primarily to share publications among researchers and fellow scientists. If you register on the website, you can view these publications. As an example, if you are looking up an article using the MV library databases and you find that the article is not full-text, you could use Research Gate to see if it is available. Traditional interlibrary loan can take longer (up to a week), but with ResearchGate there is possibility of instant access.
